SHELTER One for One Challenge

SHELTER One for One Challenge

In celebration of International Women's Day, SHELTER Athletics invited participants to join the “One For One," a unique fundraising challenge conceived by our running community of diverse movers and shakers.

SHELTER Athletics aimed to raise at least $100,000 HKD for Harmony House, an organization that provides essential support to families affected by domestic violence. For every $1 HKD donated, our all-female team ran one meter around the track at Aberdeen Sports Ground on Sunday, March 10th—regardless of the donation amount. These women leaders came from various industries and different stages of their running journeys. The group was determined to complete the total distance as a team, which was dictated by the final donation amount. One dollar donated equaled one meter run collectively.

We welcomed brands and businesses to support this important mission through donations as well as sponsorship of the event. By doing so, they contributed to an initiative that united our Hong Kong community around those who needed it most while simultaneously acknowledging and celebrating the leadership of the dedicated women in our community.

We were thrilled to announce that we exceeded our donation goal, raising over $200,000 HKD for Harmony House!

The SHELTER Athletics "One for One" team included (in alphabetical order): Carol Tam, Charmain Tsoi, Jen Mackay, Jessi Chloe Chen, Keiko Takahashi, Kristina Snaith-Lense, Taryn Marks, and Vicki Tsang.

Thank you to all the volunteers, donors and partners:
Warner Music Hong Kong International, Maekan, The Upper House, and Sunnies.
