The Block is a six-week program created by SHELTER Athletics and Quarry for runners who want to do more than just run more.
Led by Max Woodward — founder of Quarry, former Hong Kong rugby representative, and avid runner — The Block combines strength training, movement quality, and athletic development to help runners build a more durable, resilient body.
Most runners chase pace. The Block builds the foundation that supports it: better movement, smarter training, and the physical durability that keeps you running consistently.

All sessions take place at Quarry, a dedicated performance training facility in Hong Kong.
